Phoenix Affiliate, National & Community Events

There are three types of Komen Phoenix events — Affiliate, National and Community events.

 Affiliate Events include the Komen Phoenix Race for the Cure^®, Lighting the Way - our celebration dinner for Survivors and Co-Survivors, and our Annual Grants & Recognition Luncheon. These events are produced by Komen Phoenix staff and Board of Directors and highly dedicated volunteer committees.

 National Events are initiated through Komen Headquarters in Dallas. Komen Phoenix works closely with Headquarters, providing staff and volunteers to help carry out such national events - BMW Ultimate Drive^® and Rally for the Cure^® in Northern and central Arizona.

 Community Fundraiser Events are initiated and organized by individual and group supporters in Northern and Central Arizona. They range from large, organized events (concerts, etc.) to small personal fundraising gatherings (birthday party, etc.) to cause-related marketing partnerships where a portion of the proceeds are donated directly to Komen Phoenix.

While Komen events vary in size, format and location, they share our common goal — raising funds to create a world without breast cancer. All events have another element in common — hard working, dedicated and passionate supporters.
