Race Day Parking/Shuttle

Carpool/Ride Public Transportation
The Race draws a large crowd so we recommend carpooling, riding public transportation (METRO Light Rail, Valley Metro Bus) or utilizing the Race Day Shuttle. Plan extra time to park and walk to the start of the Race.

Drive to downtown Phoenix and park or ride the light rail and then catch the Race Shuttle to the Race!  The Race Shuttle will stop at four locations in downtown Phoenix and will bring you to a stop at the Capitol near the Finish Line. 

Shuttles will start at 5:30am with pick-ups at the Downtown Phoenix Stop.  The last pick-up leaving from the Capitol Stop will occur at 11:00am.

Downtown Phoenix Shuttle Stops:

  • Jackson & 3rd St:  Stop is on the right (heading south).  This stop is near a light rail stop , Chase Field and US Airways Center.
  • Between Van Buren St. and Monroe on 3rd St.:  Stop is on the right (heading south).  This stop is near Arizona Center and the Phoenix Convention Center.
  • Adams & Central: Stop is on the right (heading north). This stop is near a light rail stop in the heart of downtown Phoenix.
  • South of Jefferson & 1st Ave.  Stop is on the right (heading south).  This stop is near a light rail stop and CityScape.

Parking


There are several large State of Arizona parking garages and lots around the Race course that are open for visitor parking. There are also public and private lots around the Race that are open to Race parking. If you park in a lot with an entrance/exit onto the Race Course, please note that the streets will close for the Race beginning at 6:00am and will not reopen until the conclusion of the Race (noon at the latest). If you need to leave the Race site prior to the conclusion of the Race, please park in a location at least one street off of the Race Course.

Approved State Garages:

  • Department of Administration: 100 N. 15th Avenue
  • Department of Revenue: 1600 W. Monroe
  • Department of Health Services: 150 N. 18th Ave. - Reserved specifically for Breast Cancer Survivors!  Show your pink bib to gain entrance!
  • Department of Environmental Quality: 1010 W. Washington

Approved State Parking Lots:

  • Department of Administration lot (off of 15th Ave.)
  • Multiple lots on north and south side of Adams between 12th Ave. and 15th Ave.
  • Multiple lots on the north and south side of Monroe between 15th Ave. and 17th Ave.
  • Lot on southwest corner of 17th Ave. and Van Buren St. (State HealthLaboratory)
  • ADOT parking lots on north and south side of Madison between 19th Ave. and 18th Ave.
  • ADOT lots off of 15th Ave. on Jackson St.
  • Industrial Commission lot 800 W. Washington
  • ADOT lots off of 15th Ave. on Jackson St.
  • Lot behind Capitol building on 19th Ave. between Washington St and Jefferson St.
  • MVD parking lots
  • Department of Corrections parking lots between 16th Ave. and 17th Ave. off of Madison
