Race Day Activities

Race Day activities are located in Wesley Bolin Plaza and on the State Capitol Lawns

Breast Cancer Survivors/Co-Survivors Area
Breast Cancer survivors and co-survivors are invited to spend time in our Survivor & Co-Survivor Area on Race Day. This area is located on the Senate Lawn and will open AFTER the Survivor Parade concludes. The following tributes will be located here:

Pink Hat Café: All breast cancer survivors and a guest are invited to enjoy a breakfast in the Café
Pink Parade: All breast cancer survivors are invited to take part in our Pink Parade on Race Day. Line-up begins at 6:30am for a 6:45am Parade start.
Tribute Signs: "In Memory of" and "In Celebration of" back signs will be available for all Race participants.
Survivor Bags: Special goody bags are available for breast cancer survivors (1 per). These bags contain products and promotional items from our National Series Sponsors and Local Race Partners. Breast cancer survivors who wish to be recognized will also find their complimentary cap provided by Zeta Tau Alpha, National Sponsor of the Breast Cancer Survivor Recognition Program, in their bag.

Community Village
The Komen Phoenix Affiliate, our grant recipients and other local partners will be providing information about breast cancer and breast health services to all Race participants in the Community Village, located in the northwest corner of the south parking lot of Wesley Bolin Plaza.

Corporate Village
Located in the south parking lots of Wesley Bolin Plaza, Corporate Village features booths staffed by our National Series Sponsors and Local Race Partners. Stop by and say "thank-you" for their generous support of our Race and the fight to end breast cancer forever! Give-aways and promotional items are also found in this festive area.

Donation Drop-Off
Race participants can drop-off any pledges/donations collected at our Donation/Pledge Drop-Off Booth located in the north parking lot of Wesley Bolin Plaza (near the Registration Area).

Entertainment
From the Start Line to the Finish Line with the Race Course in between, look for talented groups and individuals as they encourage you to have a good time and complete the Race!

I AM THE CURE.®
Komen's rallying cry is I AM THE CURE.®, encouraging women and men to take an active role in their breast health to become educated about breast cancer and understand that being aware is the first step in the process. Listen for the cheers as you walk or run the Race and join in!

Kids for the Cure®
Youth and their guardian(s) are invited to a special Kids Area where they can learn about healthy living in a fun environment. The Kids Area is located on the House Lawn and will open AFTER the Survivor Parade concludes (around 7am).

Komen Merchandise
Purchase Komen merchandise and Race souvenirs in the south parking lot of Wesley Bolin Plaza from ShopKomen.org. Purchase with a purpose!

VIP Hospitality
A restricted area for National Series Sponsors, Local Race Partners, and top Race fundraisers will be located in the far east portion of the south parking lot of Wesley Bolin Plaza.

Registration/Packet Pick-Up Area
If you still need to register on Race Day or need to pick-up your Race T-shirt and bib, visit the Registration and Packet Pick-Up Area located in the northeast parking lot of Wesley Bolin Plaza. This area will be open from 6:00am - 8:30am on Race Day.  "In Memory of" and "In Celebration of" back signs will also be available for all Race participants here.

Teams Area
A meeting area for Race Teams will be located in the northeast corner of Wesley Bolin Plaza on Race Day. Plan to meet your team members in this area (alphabet signs will be posted to assist with finding each other) and allow enough time to organize before your Race start time. Bring team signs to help locate each other!

Volunteer Tent
Volunteers will check-in for their Race Day assignments at the Volunteer Check-In Tent located in the northwest parking lot of Wesley Bolin Plaza.  

First Aid/Water
Several First Aid stations and water tents will be placed along the Race Course and throughout the Race site.
