The Komen Phoenix Affiliate is committed to our promise of ending breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all, and energizing science to find the cures. That’s why since 1993, our local affiliate has distributed over $18 million to breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs in Arizona, as well as to the national Komen Research Grant Program. We are the largest private grantor of breast cancer funds in Arizona. 

This year, Komen Phoenix granted over $2.2 million, providing $1.7 million in funds to local organizations in central and northern Arizona and more than $540,000 to national research efforts. 

Nationally, Komen for the Cure has sustained a strong commitment to supporting research that will identify and deliver cures for breast cancer. This commitment has resulted in important progress that has contributed to every major advance in breast cancer over the past 25 years. With increasing investments over time, Komen is now the largest non-government funder of breast cancer research. Today, the organization has invested nearly $450M in 1,736 research projects and currently manages a portfolio of 759 active research projects reflecting a $298,004,655 investment.
