Named Affiliate Volunteer of the Year in 2007, Carolyn Evani joined the board in April 2009. She has volunteered with the Affiliate in many capacities and was honored to serve as the 2009 Race Chair.
Having worked in radiation oncology for 20 years, Jill has seen firsthand what women go through when facing breast cancer. Her goal is to help eliminate some of the difficult decisions these women have to make.
Two recent breast cancer scares in her immediate family have made Luisa aware that much needs to be done to help find a cure for this disease. Today, she contributes her extensive experience in IT and accounting as treasurer of the Komen Phoenix Affiliate.

After losing a dear friend to breast cancer and watching his mother fight through it to become a 20-year survivor, Dan Costello wanted to work with an organization dedicated to the eradication of breast cancer. Costello has been a member of the board since 2006 and hopes that his efforts contribute to establishing a curing treatment regimen for those diagnosed with breast cancer.
Jeff's wife, Judy, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004, fueling his passion for becoming involved with Komen. The couple was also involved with the Milwaukee Affiliate.
As a board member, Giannonatti serves as a voice and advocate in the community, helping to drive the vision of ending breast cancer forever.

Lisa Schmidtke first became involved in Susan G. Komen for the Cure in 2002 when she and a friend walked in the annual Komen Phoenix Race for the Cure.
Michael's interest in Komen stems from the direct impact breast cancer has had on his family, including his wife who is a six-year survivor and his sister-in-law who is in treatment for Stage 4.
An attorney by profession, Barbra is currently a stay-at-home mom who devotes her spare time to volunteering in the community, primarily as an advocate for women¹s health.
With a background in science, Katherine hopes to advocate for research to find a cure for breast cancer. She has participated as a Race volunteer in the past, and looks forward to expanding her involvement with Komen.
Lin Sue Cooney has been sharing stories of hope and inspiration with Channel 12’s viewers since they first became a Susan G. Komen for the Cure partner in 1999. The disease has personally touched her, with many friends and acquaintances battling for their lives. Cooney’s greatest hope is to find a cure in this lifetime.
